Target group
All researchers. working at Leiden University, who are about to apply for external funding, particularly PhDs in the third year of their appointment, and other young scientists at the start of their research.
Objective
You will learn how to apply an effective search strategy for finding suitable subsidy providers and funds for your research. This training course only addresses individual applications for funds/subsidies.
Content
Prior to the course you will receive an intake form, so that the course can address individual questions and different levels of experience. This is a practical course and after a brief theoretical explanation you will be doing work yourself. You will practise using search strategies and will regularly exchange experiences with other participants.
The course will be given in English.
Working method
This is a “hands-on” course and will be given in one of the computer rooms. The course will be supported by a manual about fundraising and a course folder.

You can enroll by returning the completed and fully signed submission form to HRM Opleidingen (scanned & by email or by post).
Costs
- Leiden University PhDs: no charge
- Staff of Leiden University: € 100
Cancellation
In the event of cancellation within two weeks before the start of the course, we will charge the full fee – also to PhDs.
